Happy Groundhog Day, fellow workers! As we look to our furry forecaster to predict the weather, we can also reflect on the progress we have made in the fight for fair treatment and fair wages for all workers.

Just like a groundhog that emerges from their burrow to check for their shadow, labour unions have been working tirelessly to come out of the shadows of injustice and inequality.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our members, we have been able to negotiate better working conditions, benefits, and wages for all workers.

But our work is not done yet, unlike the groundhog that emerges for a brief moment, our fight for worker’s rights is ongoing. We will continue to fight for a fair and just workplace, for equal pay, and for safe working conditions.

Let’s make this year one where we see the shadow of progress and not regression. Together we can make a difference.
