KDLC and Union Partners Proudly Sponsor the Kamloops Storm for the 2025/2026 Season

The Kamloops & District Labour Council is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Kamloops Storm for the 2025/2026 season and are joined by our union partners CUPE BC, IUOE Local 115, CUPE Local 900, UA Local 170, CUPE Local 3500, and IBEW Local 993. This partnership celebrates community, family sport, and the shared values of teamwork, fair work, and local support that bind our labour movement to our city.

What the sponsorship includes

Our sponsorship package will be highly visible across the McArthur Island Olympic ice rink and the Storm’s community channels throughout the season:

• Signage on the rink boards, visible during every game and public event held on the McArthur Island Olympic ice.
• Sponsorship of the Teddy Bear Toss, the Storm’s beloved charitable event where fans launch teddy bears onto the ice to be donated to local organizations.
• Sponsorship of the Wiener Dog Races, a fan-favourite family event that brings the community together between periods.
• Inclusion on the Kamloops Storm website, printed programs, and in-game announcements, so fans know which unions and organizations are supporting their local team.

Local sport is community glue. By supporting the Kamloops Storm, KDLC and our partner unions are:

• Investing in family-friendly events that bring neighbours together.
