Solidarity in action at Highland Valley Copper

Members of the Kamloops & District Labour Council (KDLC) recently travelled to Highland Valley Copper to show their support for the striking members of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 7619.

The visit was an opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow union members, offer encouragement, and demonstrate that the workers of Highland Valley Copper are not standing alone in their fight for a fair collective agreement.

The labour movement is built on solidarity. When one group of workers stands up for fair treatment, respect, and better working conditions, they strengthen the labour movement as a whole.

The Kamloops & District Labour Council is proud to stand alongside USW Local 7619 and recognizes the determination and commitment of its members during this difficult time.

An injury to one is an injury to all.

We encourage everyone to support these workers as they continue their fight for a fair deal.

Below are some photos from our visit to Highland Valley Copper. Thank you to the KDLC members who made the trip and to the USW Local 7619 members who welcomed us.
