Recognizing International Women’s Day with Kamloops & District Labour Council
March 8th is International Women’s Day (IWD), a day to celebrate the achievements of women in our workplaces, communities, and across the labour movement. It’s also a time to recognize the ongoing fight for gender equality, fair wages, and safe workplaces for all.
At the Kamloops & District Labour Council (KDLC), we are proud to stand in solidarity with women in the labour movement who continue to push for better working conditions, equal pay, and stronger protections against workplace harassment and discrimination. Women in unions have led the way in securing paid maternity leave, pay equity, and workplace safety standards—victories that benefit everyone.
This year, KDLC is giving you a chance to win great prizes while celebrating the incredible contributions of women in our unions and communities! Visit our IWD page to learn more about International Women’s Day and enter for your chance to win.
Together, let’s honour the women who power our workplaces, advocate for justice, and lead the way for a more equitable future.
In solidarity,
Kamloops & District Labour Council
