2018 KDLC Endorsed Candidates

September 23, 2018

The Kamloops and District Labour Council believes that building strong communities requires electing people to City Councils and School Boards who will advocate for fair, just and accessible societies and strong public services.

We are very appreciative of everyone who submitted surveys and only those who demonstrated a full understanding of our issues and concerns, particularly around Public Private Partnerships, Municipal Core Reviews, and contracting out, were given full endorsement.

We are very pleased to endorse the following for City Council:

Jennifer Dawn Adams

Dale Bass

Chris Bose

Alison Klie

Bill Sarai

And for School Board:

Beat Klossner

Kerri Schill

We would like to make a special mention to Sadie Hunter however for proposing a very exciting and feasible transit plan that incorporates a sliding scale fee structure based on income.  This has been very successful elsewhere and we feel that this initiative is worth considering for Kamloops.

For TNRD, Area L (Grasslands) we are happy to endorse Mollie Routledge.
