Happy Family Day from the Kamloops & District Labour Council

February 16, 2025

Families are the heart of Canada. As we come together to celebrate Family Day, we are reminded of the strength, resilience, and unity that define Canadian families. Across this great country, families are the backbones of our communities, our unions, and our economy. When we support Canadian families, we build a stronger, more prosperous Canada for everyone.

Unions have always stood up for working families. Here in Canada, we’ve fought for fair wages, safe workplaces, and secure jobs that allow parents to provide for their loved ones. These hard-won gains help families put food on the table, pay their mortgages, and enjoy quality time together. Buying Canadian-made products and supporting Canadian workers ensures that these benefits continue for generations to come.

When we choose Canadian goods and services, we invest in our communities. Every time you buy Canadian, you help create jobs, support local businesses, and build a stronger national economy. Our unions proudly support Canadian industries, knowing that a thriving workforce means stronger, healthier families.

The Kamloops & District Labour Council encourages everyone to take pride in our Canadian roots. Let’s support each other, choose Canadian-made whenever possible, and continue building the strong, united country we all love.

On this Family Day, remember: strong Canadian families build strong Canadian communities. Let’s keep working together to make Canada the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

Happy Family Day! Buy Canadian. Build Canada.
